LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) - Children who attend Yeshiva Academy in Longmeadow were very much into the spirit of Chanukah Sunday.
The Lubavicher Yeshiva Academy hosted a Chaunkah wonderland. They celebrated a time long ago when the Jewish people prevailed over impossible odds.
The children told 22News, the observance brings them closer together.
"It means a time with family when family can get together and think about who won the war," said 8-year old Bryna Kosofsky.
"When our family gets together and lights the Menorah and plays dradle and eats latkas," explained 10-year old Chana Kosofsky.
The Chanukah wonderland for the children has grown into an annual tradition at the Yeshiva Academy.
