LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) - Children who attend the Lubavicher Yeshiva academy in Longmeadow took a hands on approach Monday preparing for the start of the Passover holiday next week.
The students in the early childhood and kindergarten program actually got to experience some of the highlights of the Jewish exodus from Egypt. They prepared food and wore the costumes of ancient times.
The whole goal of the Seder night on Passover is to relive the exodus and feel the freedom. So the best way to do it is actually reliving it,” said Rochel Leah Kosofsky of the Academy.
By taking that approach, these children turned their knowledge of Passover into an interactive experience.
